About

Who exactly are you guys?

We are an engaged couple who live together and spend entirely too much time playing WoW.  In our couple of years playing this game we’ve gleaned a lot of information from various websites and our own testing.  This website is our way of being able to teach other people these same things that we’ve learned.  This isn’t just going to be a reference website for warrior tanks, but a reference for holy paladins, guild officers and probably tons of other people.  If we have something about WoW that we want to talk about, it’s going here.

How progressed are you guys?

As of this writing our guild is 4/5 in Hyjal and 4/9 in Black Temple.  The only time we’ve stepped foot into Sunwell was to farm trash.  Our guild came late into the real raiding phase but we hit it quite hard: we quickly rose to 5/6 in SSC in under a week and only had to spend two and a half hours doing attempts on Vashj before downing her for the first time.

Durnic why don’t you tell us a little about yourself?

I’ve been playing WoW on and off since the release, first rolling as the ultimate noob – a Night Elf Hunter on an RP server.  Yes, I was young once.  After that I kind of stopped playing for a while and then rolled Alliance with some roomates on Mal’Ganis.  After moving out I lost interest in playng on a PvP server and then rerolled a Troll Hunter on Uldum with some other real life buds who were in the guild Starfish Lovesong.

After a while it was made apparent that we needed another tank in the guild so I rolled a Tauren warrior.  Around this time is when I finally got Polgera interested in playing so she leveled her Paladin up with me.  Shortly after the guild’s numbers exploded and we started raiding T5 25-man content in a matter of weeks.

How about you, Polgera?

Well as Durnic said he finally convinced me to start playing about a year ago. I wasn’t all that interested at first but after level 20 I started playing without him and the rest is history.  I rolled a paladin because I was interested in healing and I played a paladin in Neverwinter Nights.  I have always been a member of Starfish Lovesong so my experience with guilds is rather limited, but that’s okay because being a Fish is awesome.  After running Karazhan a couple of times I fell in love with raiding and that’s been my focus in the game ever since.

Tell us more about Starfish Lovesong

Starfish Lovesong started as a guild made up of only people who knew each other outside of the game.  In fact, it was one of the requirements to get in the guild that someone who was in it sponsor you and let everyone know where you knew them from.  Over time we relaxed that a bit and started letting in people we had run with before or knew we liked.  After a while we absorbed a couple of guilds that were breaking up but with whom we had done 25-mans with in the past, shortly after that we started focusing on raiding pretty heavily.

Are you two fans of David Eddings novels?

If you’re asking this or know what it means then you already know the answer.  It is no coincidence that our character names are what they are.

Why Orly Factor.com?

Because I’ve had the URL for a couple of years and wasn’t doing anything with it.  No, really, that’s it.
